Ellen Sarafian

Ellen Sarafian, President and Senior Designer

Founder/Owner, Designer, and Artist Ellen Sarafian has always had a passion and talent for Design, starting from a very young age. Ellen’s Art and Design experience began many years ago, while studying abroad in Rome, Italy during High School. It was during this time that she first gained insight and understanding into the true origins of Art and Design. Ellen was so overcome with the education and appreciation that came from this experience, that she spent much of her free time while abroad, developing her artistic skills by sketching and painting some of Italy’s most historic Architectural landmarks.

Ellen went on to continue her studies in Art and Design in Boca Raton, Florida at Lynn University (formerly known as the College of Boca Raton). In 1992 Ellen founded Dezīns Unlimited, Inc. and followed her dream to become an accomplished Interior Designer. In 1995 Ellen moved overseas to Dublin, Ireland and continued her career as a professional Interior Designer for several years. While in Ireland, one of Ellen’s most heartfelt accomplishments was overseeing the complete Restoration of the Oscar Wilde House Museum (the childhood home of famous author Oscar Wilde) where she continues to serve as Museum Curator. This wonderful example of Georgian History now stands as a Museum, located on historic Merrion Square, deep in the heart of Dublin, and is venue to many Embassy Receptions, Cultural Events, and Art Exhibits. Ellen's extensive portfolio also includes, the complete restoration and design of four Georgian buildings, for a University's state of the art International Student Residence, in Dublin, Ireland.

During her time in Ireland, Ellen worked with many of Europe’s most respected names in Design, Architecture, and Antiquities. One such person was the Honorable Desmond Guinness, Founder and President of the Irish Georgian Society and owner of historic Leixslip Castle-which he has completely restored to its original splendor. Ellen has also had the privilege of working for some very prominent clients who include, but are not limited to, the United States Ambassador to Ireland, the Honorable Jean Kennedy Smith, and duPont.

While Ellen’s forte is Classic, Period Design and Historic Renovation, she has many years of experience in designing interiors from Classic to Contemporary, both residential and commercial, and has been publicly noted for her work numerous times. Her worldly Design experiences have enabled her to think outside of the box and to create truly unique and individualized interiors.
